Today is our last day in Roppongi Tokyo and heading our way to Mt. Fuji. But first, we had breakfast in our fave local fast food shop - Sukiya.
We hailed a cab on our way to Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal. As a sidenote, the leg room at the back passenger of the cab offered plenty of room!
It took us about 20 minutes by car, traffic wasn’t that bad. We paid around JPY2,500 for approximately 7kms.
Dad purchased tickets at the counter for 2 adults and 2 children total to JPY6,000. Travel time is about 2 hours.
While waiting for our boarding time, i saw this seemingly popular treat which Dad has been insisting for me to buy since we set foot at the Airport - Tokyo Banana!
So i thought to give it a go and bought a pack. It’s wrapped in fancy-looking gift box.
My initial impressions:
It’s a cake, soft as a chiffon. A sweet fillin’ in the middle and tastes sooooo sweet!
I am surprised and wondering how clever can we turn a healthy snack into a sugary treat! 😂
Upon our arrival at Mt. Fuji (although literally we are only at the foot of the mountain and I don’t see the popular mountain yet!), we just checked-in, explored the area and just went to the local grocery.
We wanted to experience a simple traditional Japanese ryokan, so here we go and gee the girls feeling excited ☺️
We’ll do the exploring the next day!
Time to have a rest but before we can do so, we have to move the table away and setup our sleeping futons 😆😅
